Dr. Zeenat Hussain was a trailblazing figure in Pakistan's medical history. As the first qualified doctor in Punjab in 1963 and the first pathologist in the region, she paved the way for future generations. Under the Dr. Zeenat Hussain Lesson Board of Directors, Zeenat Laboratory works tirelessly to maintain its position as a top-tier pathology department in Pakistan, striving for excellence 24/7.
She established her first private diagnostic laboratory around 1963-64 in Lahore. At that time, it was the first and only private medical laboratory in Lahore.
From modest beginnings — starting the lab in small rented premises (two-rooms at 34 Lawrence Road) while continuing academic work to support herself financially - she gradually expanded.
Over the years the lab has grown in scale, reputation, and reach: acquiring advanced equipment (e.g. auto-analysers, photometers etc.), achieving ISO/NABL certification, growing staff numbers, adding many sample collection points (over a hundred), and processing large numbers of daily test-samples.
As the visionary leader of Zeenat Laboratory, our Managing Director brings years of experience in clinical diagnostics, laboratory operations, and healthcare innovation. Under their leadership, Zeenat Laboratory has established itself as a trusted name in accurate testing, timely reporting, and patient-centered services.
